The acting general manager, corporate affairs, Mrs. Henrietta Yakubu, said in a statement that the Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Kano and Enugu airports would benefit from the exercise.

She said the international wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos would be certified first, followed by the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja while the Port Harcourt, Kano and Enugu airports would be certified thereafter.

Yakubu further stated that all the pending gaps at the airports had already been closed adding that “the successful completion of this process will drastically reduce the high cost of insurance and also place the airports in good pedestal as well as ensure effectiveness and efficiency.”
