NSE all share index grows by 1.37%

After the close of activities on Thursday, the Nigerian Stock Exchange NSE, All Share Index increased by 504.4 basis points or 1.37 per cent, when it closed at 37,245.17 basis points.

The NSE market capitalisation likewise increased by 1.37 per cent or 174 billion naira, closing at 12,837 trillion naira.

The stock market exchanged 5.4 million shares at the value of eight billion Naira in 5,939deals translated into an increase in 38 stocks and a fall in 17 stocks, while others closed flat.

Gainers
CONOIL Plc led the gainers’ chart by N3.36 or 10.17 per cent when it opened at N33.04per share and closed at N36.40 per share.

CHAMPION Breweries Plc which opened at N2.67 per share, closed at N2.85 per share, gaining 0.18 kobo  or 6.74 per cent.

INTERNATIONAL BREWERIES PLCopened at N30.00 per share and closed at N31.50 per share, gaining N1.50 or 5.00 per cent.

Losers
Whereas, on the losers’table, CADBURY Nigeria Plc trailed by N1.20 or 9.68 per cent to close at N11.20 per share against previous closing of N12.40 per share.

UACN PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT CO. LIMITED followed right after with an opening price of N2.93 per share, closing however at N2.77 per share, losing 0.16 kobo or 5.46 per cent.

Then MORISON INDUSTRIES PLC which opened at N1.43 per share, fell by  0.07 kobo or 4.90 per cent,  closing  at N1.36 per share.
