FCMB restates commitment to wellness culture

First City Monument Bank on Monday began its annual Employee Health Week with an assurance that it would continue to sustain a culture of wellness among its workforce.

According to a statement, the bank’s Employee Health Week, which will run till February 9, is one of the priorities of the financial institution aimed at encouraging its employees to adopt healthy lifestyles through various medical, dietary and aerobic activities that enhance their well-being, productivity at work and other aspects of human endeavour.

The lender said this formed an integral part of the great place to work philosophy of the bank.

The lender explained that this year’s programme, which is being anchored by a team of medical and nutritional experts, focused on medical check-ups, nutrition, exercise and early detection as well as treatment of diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and high cholesterol.

The statement read in part, “The experts have been deployed to select branches of the bank nationwide to conduct free examinations on health issues.”
