No Comments Share:

SUNU Assurances Nigeria PLC, a pan African insurance company with presence in 14 African countries has sentout its deepest sympathy to the Government of Lagos state and the families of victims of the tragic building collapse which took place on Wednesday, March 14th 2019 at ItaFaji area of Lagos Island.

As rescue efforts officially come to an end and we await the final number of casualties sustained, the company’s hearts and prayers go out to the victims and their families while praying for swift recovery of those injured and commiserating with those who mourn the loss of their loved ones, family members and friends, and the fortitude to move on in this trying times.

While it is imperative at a time like this to rally round and support each other as is being done through the blood donation drive, we need to look inward to forestall such tragic occurrence in the future. This is why we would like to implore the Government to look into the issue of public safety in its entirety and enforce the insurance of every public building. Regulations are made to protect the people, and at times like this, it is necessary to block every loophole that can mitigate such tragedy from happening again.
