Army War College Inaugurates 65 Participants

A total of 65 participants of Army War College Nigeria (AWCN) Course 3 were formally inaugurated by the Commandant Maj Gen Charles Ofoche  at TY Buratai Hall AWCN Complex Abuja.

The Course comprises of 53 Nigerian Army Officers, 2 officers from the Nigerian Airforce and one officer from the Nigerian Navy as well as one allied officer from the Cameroonian Army.

The Nigeria Police, Federal Road Safety Corps, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and Economic and Financial Crime Commission also have 2 participants each on the course.

The Commandant, in his address urged the participants to avail themselves of every opportunity in the College to enhance their professional competence.

He emphasized that the emerging global security threat requires critical thinking and application of theories and concepts to be taught on the course.

He reminded the participants of the expectations from their various organizations for attending the course in providing enduring strategies in mitigating the contemporary security challenges.

Thereafter, the Commandant formally inaugurated the participants into Army War College Course 3.

The Director of Studies in his welcome address earlier admonished participants to be of best conduct and behavior within and out of the College.

 He stated that the Course will last for 8 months and the modules were created to meet the learning objectives of the College. He noted that AWCN is the bastion of professional military education for the Nigerian Army. Therefore. all efforts are being made to keep the standard of the College. (PRNigeria)
