Huawei ICT Competition : NITDA Rewards 2018/19 Global Finalists

The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), has recognised and rewarded 6 Students of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria  who represented Nigeria at the  recent Huawei ICT Competition Global Finals held in Huawei’s Songshan Lake Campus in China.

The Director General of NITDA, Dr Isa Ibrahim presented signed letters of commendation along with a Tablet with e-learning Software and an internet dongle with 3 months unlimited subscription and a total value of 500,000 Naira to each of the students.

As was published in VON, the presentation was made at the Agency’s Corporate Head Office in Abuja.

Dr Pantami commended ”the students for the excellent performance and urged them not to relent on their efforts.”

He reiterated NITDA’s commitment, on behalf of the Nigerian Government, in supporting talented Nigerians to reach their potentials.

Dr Patanmi also advised them to think outside the box, come up with revolutionary ideas that would help in solving social challenges and also to aspire to be employers of labour.

He added that Nigeria’s future relied on ICT which is the driver of all aspects of the

economy.

The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has the mandate of developing and regulating Information Technology (IT) in Nigeria.
