FG Conducts Massive Shake-up in FAAN

The Federal Government has conducted a massive shake-up in the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) at the weekend following the the Minister of State for Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirikas approval for  the immediate  redeployment, engagement and promotion of no fewer than 55 staff from the  agency.

Among those affected by the redeployment is the Director, Human Resources, FAAN, Hajiya Salamatu Umar-Eluma, who was redeployed to the Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) in the same capacity.

A document dated August 18, 2017 and addressed to the Managing Director of FAAN, Engr. Saleh with reference number: MCA/0146/S.22/Vol.T/91 convened the redeployment of Umar-Eluma and appointment of two others.

Other two names on the list were Mallam Kabir A.N. Mohammed who was appointed as General Manager, Accounts while Mr. Anozie Norris was made the Director, Human Resources of FAAN replacing Hajiya Salamatu Umar-Eluma.

The letter was signed on behalf of Sirika by the Director, Human Resources, Ministry of Transport, Mr. S.U.D. Maigana.

Also, another letter, which communicated the redeployment and promotion of 52 others, dated August 17, 2017 with the reference number: MCA7090/T10/283 titled, ‘Submission of Deployment of General Managers and Other Key Management Staff.”

Some of the names contained on the list are: Ajeigbe F. Abiodun, GL16, HOD Audit Abuja to AGM Audit to GM Audit Headquarters; Ojo Adedeji, GL16, Airport Manager Ibadan to Regional General Manager, South South/South East, Airport Manager, Port Harcourt; Benard Ailemen, GL16, AVSEC Admin to Ag. GM AVSEC Admin; Odugbemi Solomon . O, GL16, Regional General Manager, South West to DGM AVSEC Operations and Muhtar Mohammed. GL 16, Airfield Services to Ag. GM Airfield Services.

Oyaremi Mamud, Grade Level (GL) 17 was moved from Environment Headquarters to Estate Manager Headquarters; Zakari Mamuda, GL 17, MD’s Officer to the post of a General Manger, MD’s Office; Egbadon Eyinnaya, GL17, Deputy General Manger (DGM) to General Manager, Aviation Security (AVSEC); Agbi Elifue, Actign GM Safety Services to GM Safety Services; Ukaegbu Nathaniel, GL16, Acting GM Information Technology to GM Electronics and Ahmed babatunde, GL16, Acting GM Finance to GM Finance.

Also elevated are Oni Olajumoke, GL16, DGM Airport Operations to GM Airport Operations; Yakubu Henrietta, GL16, AGM Corporate Affairs to GM Corporate Affairs, Nowgu John, GL16, DGM HOD Abuja to GM Electrical Headquarters, Sonaike Franca, GL16, HOD Communication, MMA to GM Business Development Headquarters; Shin-Aba V. Bamidele, GL16, HODs Operation MMA to Airport Manager, MMA and Olonisakin Grace, GL16, Acting GM Audit to GM Finance 11.

Also Auta Nehimiah A, GL16, Airport Manager, MMA to DGM Operations Headquarters; Akinselure Victor, GL16 ARFFS Headquarters to Airport Manager Ibadan, Shallangwa James Bata, GL16 DGM HOD Cargo Development to HOD Commercial MMA; Danmusa Abdulkadir J., GL16 Airport Manager Minna to Airport Manager Katsina; Engr. N.C. Sanya, GL16, Ag. Also elevated were Ndudinachi Rejoice, GL16 DGM Operations Headquarters to GM Standards and Compliance; Uforo Clara E, GL16 DGM Headquarters to DGM Operations Headquarters; Bassey Hope Ewa, GL16, Aviation Security(AVSEC) Training to AVSEC headquarters; Obashe Danjuma T, GL16 AVSEC Headquarters to AVSEC Training and Onyi Vincent, GL15 AVSEC Enugu to HOD AVSEC, Enugu.

Meanwhile, 15 other staff of the agency according to the document would “retain their positions for the meantime.”

The document said that all the staff in this category were on Grade Level 17 and there are feelers that no fewer than 10 of them may be axed before the end of the year.

Others are Oduwole Olawale, GM Medical Services; Kolawole Simeon, GM Credit Control; Adegbesan Abiodun, GM Budget; A.Y.M. Bello, GM Civil/Building; McAbraham Inajoh Nath, GM T&MPD; Okoye Ebele, GM Customer Services and Aromiwura Aderemi as the GM LWS.
