In a tribute to her father, Mrs. Ebelo described him as an upright man who spoke the truth at all times.
She wrote of her father: “I remember when we were much younger, we always hated having to wake up early everyday for morning devotion. But not dad, he is always there with his tambourine singing and waiting for everyone. This continued everyday no matter where he was in the world till he transited into glory.
“God help you if you have committed any offence the previous day, you would be the theme of the message that morning. That is one of the events that have shaped our lives”.
She continued: “With him there was no problem without a solution, he made even the most difficult things seem easy.
“Our Dad was a good man, a loving husband and a very responsible father. He was a philanthropist to the core, always giving.
“Daddy loved Jesus Christ and preached the message of salvation and holiness till the end.
“He was an upright man, who spoke the truth at all times not minding the personalities involved.
“We miss the sound of your voice, the many calls just to know if we were okay, the wisdom in your advice and the stories of your life while you were growing up.
“Every time we think of you, the tears come streaming down. You were our father, our pastor, our mentor, our prayer warrior, our adviser all rolled into one.
“Your life was a Blessing, your memory a treasure we would cherish till our last breath
“Daddy I love you, you have left a vacuum that is too great to be filled.
“But we do not grieve like those without hope, “For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him” 1 Thess 4:14.
“We will always remember God’s words that you taught us that have made us what we are today. We are grateful to God for the opportunity to share our lives with you.
“Rest in peace, God’s General till we meet again on the resurrection morning. We love you, Dad”.
