The Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki has charged private investors to collaborate with the federal and state governments in revamping the educational sector.

Saraki made the call on Monday at the official commissioning of Royal Crescent Valley International Girls School, Kulende, Ilorin.

According to him, government alone could not do it alone, but would continue to play its part towards restoring and repositioning the sector.

Saraki , who was represented by the Director General of the Mandate Office, Abdulwahab Issa reaffirmed his commitment to the education of people in the state.

In his address, the state governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed pledged his determination to provide qualitative education in every nook and cranny of the state.

The governor, who was represented by the State Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, said four hundred and twenty classrooms would be comprehensively renovated across the state, while over four hundred others had already been renovated.

He said the government would continue to support the private sector towards enhancing the quality of education in the state and commended the proprietor of the school for the initiative.

The Chairman of the occasion, and Zannah of Ilorin, Lanre Sagaya praised the proprietor of the school for establishing the girls school, describing him as a committed indigene of Ilorin that is committed to the upliftment of education.
