President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the renewal of the tenure of three Chief Executive Officers, four new Non-Executive Directors of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, and two new Chief Executive Officers for some federal agencies.

The renewal of the appointments are as follows :

Mr Ogbonnia Ibe-Enwo appointment has been renewed as the Reactor, Federal Polytechnic Unwana Afikpo, Ebonyi State for the second and final term of four years with effect from 7th August, 2018, Architect Olusegun Aluko as the Rector, Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, Ogun State for the second and final term of four years with effect from 25th September, 2018, as well as Engr Professor Sunday Ohousi Onahaebi as the Rector, National Institute of Construction Technology, Uromi, Edo State for the second and final term of four years with effect from 25th July, 2018.

The President also appointed Adeola Adetunji as Non Executive Director of the Central Bank of Nigeria, for the initial period of four years with effect from 7th June, 2018, Professor Mike  I Obadan as Non Executive Director, Central Bank of Nigeria for the initial period of four years with effect from 7th June, 2018.

Others are Professor Justitia Odinakachuwku Nnabuko as Non – Executive Director, Central Bank of Nigeria for the initial period of four years with effect from 7th June, 2018, as well as Professor Ummu Ahmed Jalingo, also as Non Executive Director in the Central Bank of Nigeria,  for the initial period of four years with effect from 7th June, 2018.

Equally, Professor Abfullahi Dasilva Yusuf has been appointed as the Chief Medical Director, University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital for the initial period of four years with effect from 19th June, 2018 while Dr Mrs Pauline Ikwugbu is now the Rector, Federal College of Education, Eha-Amufu, Enugu State, for the initial period of four years with effect from 19th March, 2018.

President Muhammadu Buhari therefore expects the new appointees to regard their appointments as a call to national service and to carry out their responsibilities with diligence, uprightness and prompt response to the yearnings of the public.
