The Lagos State Police Command has restored normalcy to the Iyana Iba/Alaba Rago and Ojo areas of the state where transport Union have clashed with okada riders over  the increment in tariff imposed on them.

This caused tension in the areas as residents raised concern over their safety, while others claimed that the incidence was a clash between two ethnic groups.

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, who ordered for immediate deployment of additional police personnel to the area to maintain law and order  also directed the Area Commander, Area E Festac, to personally be on ground to monitor the situation .

He however invited the leaders of the affected Okada riders unit for an urgent meeting.

The command called on the residents, especially those around the areas and students of LASU to go about their lawful businesses and studies without fear.
