The National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) has announced the funeral arrangements for late Mrs. Oyinade Folashade Thomas, wife of the Commissioner for Insurance/Chief Executive. Mrs. Thomas, who passed away on April 12, 2023, will be laid to rest on May 11 in Ogidi, Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State.

NAICOM confirmed her passing after a brief illness and highlighted her significant support to her husband’s work in advancing the insurance sector in Nigeria. Mrs. Thomas was known for her unwavering support and understanding of the importance of insurance in providing financial security.

NAICOM extended heartfelt condolences to the Commissioner and his family, thanking industry stakeholders and well-wishers for their support. Funeral arrangements include a service of songs on May 8 at Summit Bible Church Abuja, a Christian Wake Keep on May 10 at her husband’s residence in Ijumu, and a funeral service on May 11 at Saint John’s Anglican Church in Ogidi followed by internment. The insurance community stands in solidarity with the family during this difficult time.
