…Vows To Unite Ezes In Lagos

International Society of Diplomats over the weekend, honoured the the traditional leader of Ndi Igbo living in Ejigbo, Lagos State, Eze Nicholas Emenike Njoku, with a Diplomatic Passport, Face Of Peace & Integrity Advocates award, and a unique International Vehicle Plate Number.

The Society siad the awards and recognitions were as a result of a selfless and sacrificial lifestyle of the traditional leader and other humanitarian services he had offered to people within and beyond his immediate environment.

Known as ‘Eze Eziokwu Bu Ndu’ (Truth Is Life), the royal ruler said the awards meant more responsibilities for him and more service delivery to the people under his rulership. “First, I acknowledge the Almighty God who is the King of kings. With God I’m nobody. I have not arrived, I need more composition, more focus and determination to touch more lives positively. With God on my side; good health, wisdom and knowledge is assured”

Njoku affirmed that he would work with men and women of virtues and character to enable him meet the enormous tasks before. “My major tasks are to ensure there is peace among the Igbos, the Yorubas, the Hausa, and other tribes within my coverage. Without peace, there would be no progress, so we must ensure there is unity, truth and progress for everyone”

On economy, he advised President Tinubu to treat every person and tribes equally, make peace with everyone if progress must reign supreme. “The president should look inward, treat everyone equal and ensure there is peace for national progress”

In testimony of the traditional leader, a member of International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA), Emmanuel Ebuk, affirmed that Eze Njoku deserved the honor bestowed on him, having dedicated his life in helping indigent people and destitute around him for many years.

He urged the ‘Haves’ in the society to prioritize Sustainable Development Goals 1 and 2 which aims to eradicate poverty and hunger in the world, saying, “Eze Njoku has impacted uncomfortable people in the society, no wonder IAWPA honoured him today, we implore others Ezes to lead by example, make peace, help the poor, stand for truth and justice, and watch what God has for you” he charged.

For the Lagos state Director of IAWPA, ambassador Chris Nkemakolam, more honour shall be given to those who deserve it. He charge Eze Njoku to remain humble, teachable and loyal to those ahead of him if he must go farther. “This honour is to spur him to do greater things in life for humanity. And we believe in his abilities to make more impacts to humanity” he added.

On his part, Eze Uchedimgba, the Eze of Ndi Igbo in Ikeja, also a member of IAWPA, pledged to support any Eze of Igbo community in Lagos financially and otherwise so long as traditional leader is doing well. “If your people have elected you to be their Eze or any form of leadership position you find yourself, please do good, don’t cause trouble, serve the people selflessly, humanity and divinity is taking note, in due time you will be rewarded if you faint not, just United Nations did today for Eze Njoku” he admonished.
