All the chairmanship candidates of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu state were yesterday given the party’s flag as a symbol of authority to contest for the September 21 Local Government Elections.

The well attended event tagged Grand Finale held at the Micheal Okpara, Square Enugu attracted creme-de-la-creme of political heavyweights including the state governor, Dr. Barr.Peter Mbah.

Addressing the candidates, Governor Mbah told them that their selection was not by mistake but as a result of careful consideration of their track records of successes in their individual endeavours over the years.

He changed them to key into his developmental strides in all facets of life including infrastructural development, education, health, human capital development, agriculture etc, stressing that it is by so doing that they will justify the trust reposed on them by the government and people of Enugu state.

Prominent among the chairmanship candidates was Engr. Beloved Dan-Anike whose presence with his large number of supporters from Enugu East LGA .

All the candidates from the 17 Local Govt Areas of the state and their deputies attended the event.
