In a bid to foster stronger relationships between public relations practitioners and journalists, the Chief Executive Officer of Integrated Indigo Firm, Bolaji Abimbola, has sought a partnership with the Brands’ Journalists Association of Nigeria (BJAN).

The proposed partnership aimed to promote mutually beneficial collaborations, enhance the quality of reporting on brands and PR-related stories, and provide opportunities for capacity building and knowledge sharing between members of both organizations.

During a courtesy visit to the Public Relations firm’s office by BJAN Executive members on Friday, the CEO emphasized the importance of a symbiotic relationship between PR practitioners and journalists, noting that effective communication and mutual understanding are essential for achieving common goals.

“We believe that by working together, we can elevate the standard of PR practice in Nigeria, improve the quality of reporting on brands, and ultimately benefit the Nigerian public,” he said.

The BJAN leadership, led by its Chairman, Mr. Daniel Obi, welcomed the proposal and expressed enthusiasm about the potential benefits of the partnership.

“We are open to collaborations that can enhance our members’ professional development and contribute to the growth of the PR industry in Nigeria,” he said.

He further explained that the proposed partnership is expected to yield several benefits, including training and capacity-building programs for BJAN members, exclusive access to news and updates from Indigo Firm’s clients, and collaborative efforts to promote best practices in PR and journalism.

“With this partnership, both the organisation and BJAN are poised to make significant contributions to the development of the PR industry and journalism in Nigeria, ” he assured.
