Umuoji improvement Union of Nigeria ( UIUN) held election on September 20, 2025, at the Civic centre ( White House), resulting in the emergency of Chief (Sir) Cyril Ifeanyichukwu Muoemenam( ichie Chinechendo) as President General for the next three years.
Observers described the election as peaceful, free, fair and credible, involving 292 delegates from various affiliates groups.
Chief Muoemenam ( incumbent) won with 243 votes, defeating Chief Cosmas Ikeme who got 38 votes.
Other elected executives include Hon. Chudi Chukelu ( First Vice President General) Engr. Peter Okafor( Secretary General), Hon.Mmaduabuchi Onwumelu( National Publicity Secretary/ PRO Officer), among others.
Chief Muoemenam expressed gratitude to the delegates, pleaded peace, unity and progress and vow not to betray their trust.
He called for collaboration to complete existing Umuoji development projects and initiate new ones.
He thanked the electoral committee and commended Anambra State governor professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo for fostering a conducive environment.
Regent High Chief Dr, Christopher Nnedu congratulated the new executives, urging them to work for Umuoji’s greater good.
The election was monitored by observers from the ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, underscoring the structured process of selecting leadership for Umuoji improvement Union.
