CP Urges Collective Security Efforts in Anambra State

The Commissioner of Police Anambra State, CP Ikioye Orutugu, has emphasised the importance of collective security efforts in Anambra State.
Speaking at the 2025 Christmas Carol of Nine Lessons and End-of-Year Party, he highlighted the theme “Policing: A Shared Responsibility”, stressing that security is a collective effort requiring collaboration between the police, government, community leaders, and citizens.
He commended the police command’s efforts in improving security through intelligence-led policing and community engagement, despite challenges. CP Orutugu recognised the bravery of Inspector Okoma Ewa, Corporal Chawalamoke Godsfavour, and Constable Emekwisore Ifeanyi, awarding them commendations for exceptional service.
The Commissioner urged residents to remain vigilant and supportive of security efforts, reporting suspicious activities to the police.
He assured intensified patrols and surveillance across the state, covering strategic locations, worship centres, markets, and highways.
CP Orutugu stressed the need for unity, cooperation, and peaceful coexistence, wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year
