Leadway Assurance Company Limited has officially commenced a comprehensive verification exercise for all African Alliance annuitants, following the successful takeover of the African Alliance annuity portfolio.
This verification exercise is a direct response to regulatory measures introduced by the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) to protect annuitants and ensure the continuity of annuity payments without disruption.
The primary objective is to accurately identify all existing annuitants, update their records, and safeguard the immediate welfare of retirees while strengthening confidence in Nigeria’s insurance sector.
The validation process is the first critical step in the transition, designed to ensure that every individual’s benefits are secured for efficient and timely payment.
Successful transfer to the Leadway brand not only guarantees immediate payment continuity but also establishes a solid foundation for long-term, timely benefit disbursements.
This transfer follows NAICOM’s intervention in appointing an interim management team as part of the process to settle outstanding annuity payments and stabilise the portfolio.
Retirees under the African Alliance portfolio can therefore transition seamlessly to Leadway Assurance, ensuring uninterrupted access to their entitlements.
