Speaking at a press conference organised by Modion Communications and Fairtrade Messe on Thursday at the Radisson Blu, Ikeja, Lagos, NACCIMA’s Director General, Engr. Olusola Obadimu, FNSE, FCIOD, said the exhibition aligns with national development priorities, particularly in food security, employment generation, industrial development, export diversification, and poverty reduction.
Obadimu commended the organisers for formally registering the exhibition with NACCIMA, noting that the move demonstrates professionalism, adherence to established standards, and a strong commitment to delivering a credible and impactful event.
He said NACCIMA was pleased to associate with initiatives capable of making meaningful contributions to national economic development.
He emphasised that agriculture and food processing remain central pillars of Nigeria’s economy, adding that platforms such as Agrofood Nigeria provide invaluable opportunities for dialogue, innovation, investment, and collaboration across the entire value chain.
According to him, the exhibition will help strengthen business linkages, stimulate policy dialogue, and promote technology adoption within the sector.
The event, scheduled to hold from 24 to 26 March 2026 at the Landmark Event Centre, Lagos, is expected to convene policymakers, farmers, processors, equipment manufacturers, technology providers, investors, researchers, and development partners from Nigeria and beyond.
Obadimu said such broad participation is essential for sharing best practices, showcasing innovations, addressing sectoral challenges, and unlocking new opportunities in agribusiness and food processing.
He described the exhibition as particularly timely, coming amid growing concerns over climate change, rising production costs, post-harvest losses, and limited market access.
According to him, the forum offers a conducive environment for translating meaningful conversations into actionable outcomes through modern technologies, strategic partnerships, and practical solutions.
