Out of 117 candidates 38 Legal Practitioners has been elevated to the rank of Senior Advocates of Nigeria, SAN.
The increment in the number of Senior Advocate of Nigeria was authorised by the
The Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee in Nigeria.
The rank is awarded as ‘a mark of excellence to members of the legal profession who distinguished themselves as advocates and academics.’
A total of 117 candidates applied but only 38 qualified.
The successful candidates would be sworn-in on September during the 2019/2020 New Legal Year of Nigeria’s Supreme Court.
