Oye Agu Accident: Police Advise Motorists, Order Arrest Of Driver

Anambra State Commissioner of Police, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam has cautioned drivers/transporters to always do necessary checks before plying the road, especially during this Ember months.
Reacting to the fatal motor accident that occurred today, September 11, 2024, along Onitsha- Enugu Old road by Oye Agu Junction, Abagana, resulting in the death of a 5-year old girl with four other persons seriously injured, in a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ikéngà Tochukwu, the CP ordered the arrest and interrogation of the driver.
“Preliminary information reveals that the accident occurred due to the break failure of the Toyota Sienna vehicle carrying passengers and en route to Lagos rammed into traders selling by the roadside at Oye Agu junction.
“Furthermore, the *CP* while condoling the family of the deceased directs arrest and interrogation of the driver.
“To this end, the Vehicle has been recovered at the Station as the investigation is ongoing, please,” the statement read.
