Residents of Unity Layout, Obiagu Otukwu a unit in the Emene Landlords Association have joined the effort of the Enugu state government under the watch of Dr. Barr. Peter Ndubisi Mbah to provide clean water for the people of the Area.

In a letter jointly signed by chairman of the Association, Hon. Livinus Okwor and Secretary, Mr. Mbaeze Onyeka, to an Abuja based humanitarian organisation, Supreme Family Entertainment International Initiative, the organisation said that they have made land available for the construction of a Solar- Powered Borehole with d aim of ensuring that the entire community and environ gain from the project.

According to chairman of the organisation, Hon. Okwor, the governor has taken the bull by the horn by making water available in the urban centres of the state, stressing that wealthy individuals and organisations should help the state government to ensure that good drinking water get to their areas.

Hon. Okwor who used the opportunity to present the parcel of land he single handedly donated for the project said that his gesture was borne out his desire to ensure that the community and environs will be free from all sources of deseases associated with drinking of dirty water.

He explained further that the projected will be adequately protected from vandals and thieves because of its location in the midst of the people who are enthusiastic about the project and read to protect it.
