Anambra Journalists Receive Training For Adequate Reportage Of Red Cross Activities

Nigeria Red Cross Society of Nigeria, recently organized workshop for media practitioners to ensure adequate reportage of her activities.
Speaking during the one-day workshop, held at Amawbia, Anambra State, the Branch Secretary, Nigeria Red Cross Society, Engr Kingsely Okoye, assured of the association’s partnership with media practitioners, emphasizing that the meeting was to build the capacity of  journalists as for accurate reporting of its humanitarian activities.
 He urged journalists to always ensure prompt reportage of its activities.
The Red Cross’ Branch Communication Officer, Mr Joseph Obidigwe, said the workshop would offer journalists opportunity to know, appreciate and understand what Red Cross is all about,  its emblems, use of emblems, mandate, and fundamental principles.
Contributing, Ruth Chigbue  called for adequate partnership  between the media and Red Cross, even as she observed that the media play important roles in the society.
