Ardova Plc at its 60th anniversary has reiterated its vision of building economic empowerment through energy innovations.

In line with the anniversary theme “60 Years of Energising Progress With Endless Possibilities,” the Company said it remains committed to sustainable innovations in shaping and transforming Nigeria’s energy future.

Chief Strategy Officer, AbdulHakeem Buhari, who spoke at a media briefing in Lagos remarked that “Life begins at 60.”

According to Buhari, the Company is focused on redefining value creation within the energy sector, as “Ardova embodies a vision where energy innovation meets economic empowerment.”

Elaborating, he said Ardova’s $500 million state-of-the-art LPG terminal in Lagos, is a pointer to this vision, adding that it is a reflection of the Company’s leadership in energy infrastructure in West Africa.

The terminal, he said, has a storage capacity of 30 kilotons, meeting 60 per cent of Nigeria’s domestic LPG demand.

He pointed out that this is a reflection of Ardova’s commitment to driving the nation’s “Decade of Gas” initiative.

Also speaking, Managing Director of Ardova Plc, Moshood Olajide, further explained Ardova’s twin pillars of sustainability and customer-centricity.

He said: “We are not just in the business of energy; we are in the business of empowerment.”

He highlighted the Company’s diversification into renewable energy and solar solutions as part of its strategy to remain a key player in Nigeria’s energy transition.

Worthy of note is Ardova’s report of a 5.95 per cent revenue growth to N192.47 billion at its 2021 Annual General Meeting, a testament to its ability to thrive in a competitive market even as stakeholders enjoy value-driven service.

Each of these efforts, the Managing Director said, targets enhancing energy efficiency, support for small business growth, and mitigation environmental challenges posed by traditional fuels.
