The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prince Dr. Nicholas Ukachukwu (Ikukuoma Ndigbo), recently visited the scene of the tragic accident at Amichi town, which claimed lives, left several people injured, and destroyed properties.
During his visit, Ukachukwu commiserated with the bereaved families, and assured them that their pain will not be ignored.
He expressed profound sorrow over the incident and prayed for the souls of the departed and for the quick recovery of those battling injuries.
He equally made a generous donation to victims who sustained various degrees of injuries to offset their medical bills.
Ukachukwu further announced a bold and futuristic plan to prevent such occurrences in the future, promising that upon becoming the governor of Anambra State in 2025, one of his first infrastructural projects will be the construction of a modern flyover at the Amichi Town center, the very spot where the accident occurred.
This, he said, would not only decongest traffic but also enhance the safety of road users in the area.
“No family should ever go through such avoidable pain again. I stand here not just to sympathise, but to assure you that a better, safer Anambra is possible. With your support, we shall make it happen,” Ikukuoma said..
The people of Amichi, deeply moved by his words and actions, expressed their gratitude and reaffirmed their unwavering support for his candidacy.
