Wafaa Saeed , Representative, UNICEF Nigeria has announced the appointment of Zephia Ovia-Ikem as a UNICEF NextGen Champion, joining a global network of investors, philanthropists, and private sector leaders dedicated to advancing children’s rights and accelerating progress for children and young people in Nigeria.Zephia Ovia-Ikem is a Tech and Social Entrepreneur and a vocal advocate for youth empowerment. She has supported UNICEF’s Generation Unlimited Nigeria (GenU 9JA) initiative since its inception. In her new role as NextGen Champion, Zephia will mobilize business leaders around the rights and needs of children and young people, leveraging her networks and platforms to raise awareness and mobilize resources to accelerate UNICEF’s work across Nigeria.
“Children and youths in Nigeria represent our greatest asset and brightest future,” said Zephia Ovia-Ikem. “I am passionate to work alongside UNICEF to mobilize resources, networks and commitment needed to ensure that every child and youth in Nigeria can thrive and have access to sustainable pathways for better economic opportunities.”
