Gov. Tambuwal: “I never hated Jonathan as a person, only disagreed with his policies.’

The Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, on Sunday declared that he never hated former President Goodluck Jonathan but that he only opposed his policies.

Tambuwal, who was the Speaker of the House of Representatives made the assertion while addressing journalists in Sokoto.

The governor was alleged to have been engaged in a feud with Jonathan after he decamped from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Dismissing claims of habouring hatred for the former President, he said: “As the Speaker of the House of Representatives then, I was always raising alarm on the way things were being managed in the country especially lack of prudence, but some people felt that I was against Jonathan.

“I never hated Jonathan as a person but only disagreed with his policies.

“The recession we are currently facing was as a result of the way the economy was mismanaged by the Goodluck Jonathan administration.”
