NCAA Begins Investigation Into Air Peace’s Oxygen Mask Incident

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) said that it has commenced investigation into the Air Peace’s Oxygen Mask incident that allegedly occurred in the airline’s Lagos-Enugu service last Friday.
A statement issued by the General Manger, Public Relations, NCAA, Mr Sam Adurogboye, explained that the investigation is in line with standards and international best practices.
NCAA stated in the statement that the investigation would be thorough and would include the review of the videos making the rounds in the social media.
It added that the investigation will be conducted in line with the Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations (Nig.CARs) 2015, adding that at the conclusion of the investigation; the recommendations will be fully implemented.
NCAA assured passengers that all aircraft operating in Nigeria are airworthy and that the regulatory body’s Ramp inspections have been strengthened accordingly with the seasonal increase in the volume of passengers.
It warned operating airlines to observe the Standard and Recommended Practices (SARPs), as any infractions will be treated in line with the provision of the regulations.
