Nigerian Social Media Summit to Hold In Abuja

Image result wey dey for Nigerian Social Media Summit to Hold In AbujaThe fourth edition of the Nigerian Social Media summit has been scheduled to hold on October 19th in Abuja.

 The Venue is the IBI Centre, Wuse 2, Abuja. The event will kick-start with registration verification by 10am.

The event which is themed “Social media as a tool for participatory governance” will have guests from different fields in the country present.

According to the media lead of the organizing committee, Olugbenga Toki, the event will have YZ Yau of the Centre for Information Technology advancement and Development as Chairman while the keynote speaker is the multi-award winning Public Relations expert, Yushau Shuaib of PRNigeria

Mr Gbenga noted that the importance of the Social media is now at a high level and everyone should be concerned about its usage and how it can develop the country.

Other guests expected at the event are;

Barrister Adebayo Shittu (Former Minister of Communications Technology), Muhktar Sirajo(Nigerian Institute of Public Relations President), Mary Uduma(Chairperson, Nigerian Internet Governance forum), Amina Salihu (MACArthur Foundation), Comrade Emmanuel Ogbeche (Nigerian Union Of Journalists Chairman, Federal Capital Territory Chapter), Bala Ciroma (Commissioner of Police, FCT), Jaafar Jaafar (Editor-In-Chief, Daily Nigerian), Gidado Yushau Shuaib (Editor-in-Chief, YouthsDigest), Bolaji Repete (Deputy National Youth Leader, APC), John Aaron (Technical Assistant to Kaduna State Governor on Intergovernmental relations), Bello Shagari (President, National Youth Council of Nigeria), Mubarak Mijinyawa (Nigerian Youth Parliament Speaker), Danielson Bamidele(National Association Of Nigerian Students President), Adnan Muhktar (Public Affairs analyst) among other top including ‘surprise guests’.

The organizers also noted that Civil Society Organizations, media houses, Media development experts among other top guests are expected at the summit. Participants are expected to be corporately dressed to the summit.

The fourth edition is sponsored by the Centre for Information Technology Advancement and Development.
