ACCA Picks Responsibilities In United Nations SDGs

The Association of Chattered Certified Accountants (ACCA) says it has identified that it can make the most significant contribution towards nine of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, associated 169 targets and related indicators of success that have been recognized.

 

ACCA states that: “We’ve collated a selection of our resources and learning materials and linked them to each of the 9 SDGs we’ve made our commitment to and we’re calling on everyone in the ACCA community to make their own personal commitment to at least one of the UN.”

 

This includes offering quality accountancy education that is free from artificial barriers, promoting and achieving gender equality across employee population, supporting the community to achieve economic growth, community empowerment so they can support organizations to be ethical, successful and able to participate in the global economy, the advocacy for inclusion ,diversity and social mobility.

 

ACCA is a fair and inclusive place to work, reduction in consumption of resources, embedding green finance in qualification and learning products to include capability across the profession for climate action , promotion and adherence to the highest standard of professionalism, integrity and ethics and working in partnership to build an inclusive global profession that supports the development of ethical.

Similarly, Mr Tom Isiobor, Head, ACCA Nigeria maintained that ACCA is the best in profession and have zero tolerance for corruption.
