NAICOM To Partner NITDA To Institutionalise Cyber Insurance

National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) and the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) have agreed to partner in order to work out modalities on how to institutionalise cyber insurance to help strengthen the digital ecosystem in Nigeria.

To this end, the Management of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) led by its Director General/CEO, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, today paid a courtesy visit to the National Insurance Commission, NAICOM at its Corporate Headquarters in Abuja.

The NITDA team was received by the Commissioner for Insurance/Chief Executive Officer, Olorundare Sunday Thomas, and his Management team.

A statement by NAICOM Spokesperson, Mr Rasaaq Salami, made available to journalists said “the purpose of the visit is to activate the process of institutionalising cyber insurance to help strengthen the digital ecosystem in Nigeria.”

The two Agencies, according to the statement, during the visit discussed the enormous benefits of the initiative to the nation and have agreed to partner to ensure the realization of the initiative.
