BJAN Election : New Executives Emerged

Brand Journalists Association of Nigeria (BJAN) gets new executives to its affairs after an election in Lagos.
The election  took place at the sixth edition of BJAN’s Brands and Marketing conference with theme Brand Lagos: Challenges, Opportunities and Lessons at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry Building.
The newly elected executives Princewill Ekwujuru of Vanguard Media Limited succeeds Goddie Ofose of 789marketing as chairman, while  Afolabi Idowu replaces Clara Okoro of Brandworld Media as Vice Chairman.
Other elected executive members include Lukman Ishau of MarketingSpace, who was returned as the General Secretary, Adejuwon Osunnuyi of The DailyBells, elected the Assistant General Secretary, Bunmi Awolusi of News Echo as Treasurer, Akeem Salau of Vanguard Media Limited as Financial Secretary, Fadare Adekanbi  of The Octagon Magazine as Auditor and Adeyemi Olufemi of Brand Icon Image, elected as the Chief Information Officer (CIO).
Chairman of the electoral committee, Melvin Udosen of Brand essence administered oath of office to the new executive members.
 In his acceptance speech, Ekwujuru appreciated members for taking time out to put in place the new executive while pledging his commitment to the welfare of the members, development and growth of BJAN.
The newly elected chairman said he was grateful for the confidence reposed in him.
Ekwujuru noted, “Let me start by expressing my profound gratitude for the  overwhelming support you gave me. Honestly, I am overwhelmed. But the fact remains that it was just a family affair, and I am happy my colleagues in the struggle, the delectable Clara Okoro and the very vivacious Richard Edoki are imbibing the spirit. It is also about that mission of ensuring that the BJAN course is moved to the new Level. You are all appreciated, and with your support, we shall move BJAN to greater heights. Remain blessed.’’
